Class 2.5. Easy to Medium. Four Wheel Drive required in places due to rough terrain and loose
traction. Tire Load Range C, or greater required.
Overall trip is 160 miles. Allow 5-6 hours for round trip and have full tank of fuel.
Harquahala Peak is highest mountain in Southwestern Arizona with an old 1920’s observatory ran by
the Smithsonian Institute. Trail to mountain top is 10 miles. May visit old mining camp and stone
cabin.
Bring: Water, Lunch, chairs & Camera.
